UPDATE: An invitation to all True Blood RPs.

**UPDATE: Don’t think I’ve forgotten about this. . .while we’ve managed to resolve the server issue, there are still a few bugs in the programming that are getting in the way of making the full on theater experience happen.  So please do sit tight and stay tuned for future updates!

Tomorrow night is our very first Drop of True Blood Thursday. And I hope all of you folks that RP as characters are going to join us.

Why? Because we’d like to invite you to be in a future Drop. And we’re not talking about sitting in as background filler. We’re talkin’ about starrin’ in the Drop.  So if you’re playin’ a character that’s from the show, check out Drop of True Blood tomorrow night.

Now when we say characters, we’re talking all characters. Even the main ones. So we’re calling all Erics, all Sookies, all Bills, all Terry’s, all Lorenas, the guy who buses the tables, Deputy Kenya Jones, we want you all!

So here’s how it’s going to work:

    1. Join us for Drop of True Blood Thursday at 9pm / 8c. It’s probably best that you login at about 5 minutes before show time so you’re ready to go.
    2. Login using your Twitter or Facebook creds.
    3. Get into the show by hitting the reply button. Your reactions are a part of the story!
    4. If being a part of Drop of True Blood Thursday is something you’d like to do, come on back here and leave your Twitter @name in the comments. Please note that comments may not show up immediately.
    5. I’ll get back to you about participating in a Drop.

Hope to see y’all there! For more info, you can read this post.  If you have any questions, feel free to email me at sookieinbontemps@gmail.com.

An Easy Peasy Guide to Drop of True Blood Thursday.

I hope you’re joining us tomorrow night for True Blood Twitter presents: Drop of True Blood Thursday.  Since we’re doing things a little differently this year, here’s a guide that’ll make following the storyline easy peasy:

    1. Go to http://truebloodtwitter.com/drops. Click on the first drop (picture of Sookie) and you’ll be taken to the live timeline page, where the story will take place. Just so we’re all clear? The show will take place on the site, not on Twitter, as we did last year.
    2. On the right, login with your Twitter or Facebook credentials. That way you can comment and interact with the players during the show.
    3. The show starts promptly at 9pm / 8c, so if you don’t want to miss out on the fun, I’d recommend that you login about 10 minutes before.
    4. There is no follow list. We’ve taken care of all of that for you!
    5. Sit back, relax, laugh along. And hit the reply button!  We’ve taken the show off Twitter so that you can really be a part of the story, so JUMP IN!

True Blood Twitter presents: Drop of True Blood Thursday will run every Thursday at 9pm / 8c, followed by an encore showing of True Blood on HBO at 10pm / 9c. For more information on Drop of True Blood Thursday, have a read. And I hope to see you tomorrow night!

True Blood Season 3 is FINALLY HERE!

After a 9 month wait, True Blood Season 3 is FINALLY HERE!

Which means I’m back to my True Blood Sunday schedule. If you followed me through Season 2, you’ll know it goes something like this:

    • 8:45pm ET: Turn on @HBO and catch the pre-show.
    • 9:00pm ET: Livetweeting commences.  Which means for one hour, my stream will be nothing but reactions to tonight’s episode. Are they spoilery? Technically, no…but if you’d prefer to live life on the safe side, mute my tweets for the hour True Blood is on.  Go to http://muuter.com, plug my name in, set the time.  If you’re using Brizzly, you can also mute people’s tweets.  If you’re Tweetdeck savvy, you can also filter the spoilers out: http://ow.ly/1XHqf and http://ow.ly/1XHq6.
    • 10:00pm ET: Grab a drink, and get ready for Talk Blood at 10:30pm.
    • 10:30pm ET: TALK BLOOD RETURNS!!!!! Every Sunday night at 10:30pm ET, I go live with @TrueBloodDallas for Talk Blood on Blog Talk Radio.  We’ll talk to one of our fantastic expert guests, like Andy Swist and Brian Juergens from Camp Blood, Meredith Woerner from io9, Mark Blankenship from The Huffington Post, and then start taking calls so we can hear what YOU thought of the episode!  Catch Talk Blood live on Blog Talk Radio here and call in and TWEET ME, because I will be reading your tweeted reactions to the show on the air tonight.

If you’re going to get into the livetweet action, be sure to tag your tweets with the #TrueBlood hashtag. Yes, we want to blow up Twitter tonight, so make it count and get #TrueBlood trending.

So rest up. . .because I have the feelin’ we’re in for a bloody good time tonight.  Cannot wait to see and and hear what y’all thought of tonight’s episode!

    Tweeting from #UltimateTruebie?

If you’re planning on livetweeting from tonight’s True Blood Ultimate Fan Experience, here are some tips:

    1) Unlock your tweets.  If you want to share the love and your experience tonight, make sure people can read what you’re tweeting.

    2) Tag your tweets with the #UltimateTruebie hashtag.  Why? Well, for one, anyone who’s not at the event can keep up with the action tonight by tracking tweets tagged #UltimateTruebie.

    3) Tag your tweets with the #UltimateTruebie hashtag. I’m repeating myself for a reason.  We want #UltimateTruebie to make it into the trending topics tonight.  You know that list on the Twitter front page?  That’s the trending topic list and we want to be there.  There’s no hard and fast rule as to number of tweets required to make it trend. BUT it’s safe to say that we’ll need thousands of tweets to make that happen.

NOTE: For tonight, only use the #UltimateTruebie hashtag.

    4) If you can take pics and video with your mobile phone, DO IT. Twitpic, yfrog, Tweetphoto, and Twitvid allow you to share all the bad things you see going on around you instantly on Twitter.

    5) Just because you’re not technically sitting in one of the 50 theaters, it doesn’t mean you can’t livetweet. Remember, you can watch the event LIVE from home via the True Blood page on Facebook.  Same rules above apply!

    Happy tweeting!
